This week, Year 3 Angelou Class were immersed in an Eid Mubarak celebration where they created Eid cards, ate dates and other lovely treats. This was to help the children with their next diverse text for their writing lessons, based on the book 'Ramadan Moon' by Naima B Robert.

The book is about Ramadan the month of fasting. It doesn't begin all at once. It begins with a whisper, a prayer and a wish. Muslims all over the world celebrate Ramadan and the joyful days of Eid-Ul-Fitr. This lyrical and inspiring picture book captures the wonder and joy of this great annual event, from the perspective of a child.

The month of Ramadan is expected to start on Friday 28th February. We wish all our families who will be observing and fasting for Ramadan all the best!
