Welcome to Year 1 Kahlo Class, the starting point for Key Stage 1.  The class teacher is Emine Volkan, supported by Panoraia Charmantzi.  Our aim is to ensure that all children experience a smooth transition from Reception class to Key Stage 1.

Learning through play will continue to be part of the school day and the children will steadily move into formal learning as the year progresses.  Kahlo Class also have their own outside learning space, providing continued opportunities for big scale play, problem-solving and creativity along. They also have great access from the classroom to our spacious playground where they will use the sheltered area and climbing frame to support their learning outdoors. We want the children to remain motivated, enthused and passionate about their learning.
