Year 1 Kahlo and Year 2 Mandela invited Mothers, Grandmas or Aunties to our special stay and play, where they took part in a range of creative Mother's Day activities.
We were astounded by how many entries we had received. The children really used their imagination and creativity to showcase a reading book. Well done to our winners, who all received a reading book as their prize.
The children had a special World Book Day assembly where they were able to show the rest of the school their wonderful costumes. All the children are very excited and each class will be focusing on reading a book written by diverse authors and creating some wonderful work in the lessons today.
Every child will also be bringing home a £1 World Book Day voucher, which they can use towards buying a reading book.
