French Day

Today all our Delta children immersed themselves in many French day activities and came to school either wearing blue, white or red. Our Reading zone was transformed into a French café, where each class learnt how to order and enjoy eating a croissant and drinking a hot chocolate. The children also had their own French passport where they received a stamp for completing activities such as playing the French game Boules, pointlism art activity creating the Eiffel Tower, learning about other countries outside of France who speak French too. Then in the afternoon, the children performed a French song that each class had been practising all week.

Finally, towards the end of the day, parents were also invited to our French café and children from Year 5/6 explained to the parents what they have learnt and enjoyed about French day.
